I did create a post about this but it was in the wrong forum. I am new to this site and am really seeking some help here. I'll copy and paste what I wrote. From what I understand, the S3 is not supposed to have any game lag problems.

Hello! I'm new to these forums and a *bit* new to Androids. I have used the Galaxy s2 for around 3 days (It was a used/reset phone) and I found that certain games, such as Temple Run, ran flawlessly--no lag spikes or problems. I recently got an S3 and am disappointed to find that Temple Run now has constant lag spikes and makes it very difficult to play---This problem began the same day I got it, straight out of the package. Some other issues i'm hoping to resolve is how quickly the battery drains, how slowly it recharges, and how HOT the phone gets, even when I have barely used it after turning it back on.

Should I do a backup/reset and see if that fixes the problem? Will I be able to restore my phone to the way it was (text messages, contacts, etc) if the problems persist through the reset? Lastly, are there any user recommended apps that would help solve any of these problems? Thank you, and sorry for my absolute clueless-ness! I am not a tech savvy person. :(

Try resetting your phone and removing and reinstalling the app.
I just downloaded the app and it ran fine on my s3.

I would like to, but I don't want to lose contacts or text messages. Will I be able to retrieve those things once i reset?

Contacts are/should be synced to your Google account. Plus you can from within your Contacts settings EXPORT your list to file on your sdcard/computer.

Text messages can be saved to SDCARD by using a free app on the Google Play Store called SMS Backup and Restore.
