I'm a webOS guy. Dropped my sprintified pre2 and completely shattered the glass. What better way to test out android than a LG Optimus S. Same screen res, proc speed, etc as a pre. Though I did have a pre2, It was short lived.

I got this to hold me over till I get word on Pre3 carriers. If sprint doesn't carry it, I will jump ship to android or maybe windows phone 7 depending on the state of the operating systems at that point in time. The wp7 mango update looks to rip off some of webOS, so that is good for me.

Will I be able to hack android to be good enough? yes. I just need to figure out if the extra effort it takes to hack compared to webos is worth it.

Welcome to Android Central!

I'm also a webOS guy on my 5th Pre.

You may not need to hack your new phone at all. Remember the 340 patches for the Pre?

Palm and HP did not listen to our pleas but Google did. Almost all are in Android. You just need to find where they all are.

The Palm webOS Homebrewer's Guide to Android will walk you through finding everything.
