You can still use the actual tethering option on foxfi using their pdanet programing. It is only the wifi part that was screwed by the update.

This is the same block that VZW put up on tethering on my HTC Rezound. You have to root or pay if on unlimited data! Foxfi does not have a way around it and VZW is not going to help them with one. I ended up paying them with the Rezound. Then to have Canadian roaming last summer I end up getting a share plan.

I'm patiently waiting on a solution as well. Has anyone emailed the foxfi developers about a possible fix date?

I couldn't wait. I tether for my home wi-fi. After trying every other tether app on the market I paid the $30. It's really a small price to pay for the 100 gigs I use each month.

Waiting does suck. But on the other, how in the hell do you use 100gb a month on a freaking cell phone. I thought my 6gb was high...
