Tethering the PS3

Question for all of you out there, I currently own a Nexus ONE rooted with Cyanogens ROM

I tried to tether my PS3 up to my cell and was unable to, althought tethering my iPhone and Laptop was not a problem.

Does anyone happen to know why the PS3 won't find my Nexus as an access point AND is this going to be an issue for me if I were to go out and buy the EVO 4G and try to tether that on 2.2 Froyo?

You might have to manually setup an IP address, routing, DNS info on the PS3.

I'm not sure you'll get fast enough speeds to play online games... Not sure why this is in the Evo forum... I'll move it.

I currently use AT&T DSL that gets about the same speed at 4G

BC in a few days I will own the EVO and it's basically the same Tether program, right?
