quick question guys ( i hope ) im rooted running warms twopointtwo and i have the wireless tethering app installed.

I love netflix and now we have it for the EVO, so im plan on using it all the time. Thats basically steaming data correct? Now what if i tether for my laptop and i use netflix on there. Is the data usage the same?

So basically im asking .......... netlfix on evo data usage the same as...... netflix on my laptop using my EVO tethering

Are you asking ; using the teather for your laptop will use more data faster?

I would think that Netflix on your laptop would use more Mb/s because it is probably encoded differently.

In my opinion I would think not. However if you plan on using it alot, Sprint may throttle down you speed.

The videos on the PC side must absolutely be higher quality videos than the mobile side so you would use more data if you tethered your PC running netflix to your EVO. If you absolutely want to do that, then deselect HD whenever you can. But still..if you're tethering and not paying for it, albeit for a service that you could just be using on the EVO with your 4G data, then you're asking for Sprint to be calling you up if they notice unusually high data use.
