tethering widget works for Evo?

I downloaded tethering widget from app brain and it works on my evo! Is this a way around sprints block on tethering or am i missing something here?

Widget? You mean PDAnet or EasyTether?

I use PDAnet all the time, works great!

It doesn't work for Wifi. It will emit a wifi signal, but then the phone's data will shut off until you turn the hotspot feature off.

Do you have to be plugged in via USB or does it work wireless? with 2.2?
