Question... I have unlimited data and use foxfi... I noticed when I use it on this phone the Verizon Tethering icon shows up in my notification menu. Does this mean I'm now getting charged from Verizon?

Yes wifi mode and no, it doesn't tell me to contact Verizon... It just automatically starts the tether app through foxfi and Verizon...

You're ok then.

Verizon cannot block 3rd party tethering apps, such as Foxfi. It is illegal for them to do so.

If there isn't a popup saying you need to contact Verizon to get a tethering plan, you're ok.

Quick question, BTW: Is the wifi option for you giving you slower speeds than standard wifi speeds? Or it is pretty fast for you?

Thanks for the response! My wifi speeds are awesome, I can play online call of duty while two other devices are being used...

Hello, had a question as well, my foxfi works but when I go to data usage my Tethering/hotspot mb increases after use, is this normal?

Technically, they can block on the grandfathered unlimited plans. It was part of the agreement with the FCC. You can use third party apps as long as you pay for the service.

Or root and avoid it.. Or start the app and when the message says you need a tether plan just back out and don't hit cancel.. Or well that works on the Galaxy phones.. Not sure on the HTC One.
