Text issue

Hey guys, I am posting this on behalf of one of my customers to which i sold an HTC one on friday. He switched from Tmobile to Sprint. Everything is working with the exception that he cannot recieve text messages from Verizon customers. My personal phone is Sprint and my work phone is verizon. So we were going back and forth with some troubleshooting steps with Sprint technical support and to no avail. They are advising me to swap out the phone. That it is a phone issue but that does not sound right to me. So i am turning to my favorite community for some additional help.

I was just wanting to see if anyone else has had issues with this yet or can lend some more insight of what we could do. We have dont a profile and PRL update. A soft provisioning update and a hard reset on the device and it is still having the issue.

No it was an android on T-Mobile.

Did he port his number? I ported a number from Google Voice to Virgin and didn't receive texts from VZW and AT&T users for 2 days or so.

Yea he ported his number from T-Mobile to Sprint. I'm wondering if because we did the port at 8pm on Friday that it hasnt fully provisioned all the way in Sprints system. His old T-Mobile phone is deactivated and no longer working though.

I have the same problem. I ported my Verizon number to Sprint. I can text my daughter on Verizon but cannot receive her return text. I was told it takes a couple of days due to the port clearing?

Well it looks like the provisioning delay was the culprit. He has started getting all the texts now.
