text issues EB01/EB16 SC 2.6

good morning! I know this has been asked by me beofore but I'm still having the same problem.

I'm running EB01/EB16 SC 2.6 This all started when I went to EB01. I can send and recieve text messages, however, the longer ones come across to the recipients in all these wierd symbols, even though I sent them in english and they show up on my end in english. I though maybe it was handcent, so I deleted that program but it is still happening in the stock text and handcent. Its ok as long as my messages are like one sentence. I rely heavily on my phone for work and my own business.

I've had this happen also.. I think it might just be a character limit? I don't think its caused by any specific app.

i remember that. ok have you done a wipe data and cache and dalvik cache?

OK doing that now. Just backed up everything with Ti backup.

if I wipe will I have to root again?

This happened to me too. In the settings, split messages for CDMA. It will allow you to type more than 160 characters but when it sends itll split it. Happens on Handcent, Go, ect.

This happened to me to after I wiped and installed apps fresh from TI backup. I figured out that the language setting in Handcent got reset, so I went into to the Settings>Application Settings>Language menu and selected English.
