You can change font size in messages using the volume rocker. Push volume down a few times in any convo and that will get you back to normal

Too funny, I went the other way bumping up the font size in an effort to convince my blind old friend with an eleventeen year old flip phone to break down and buy a new one so he didn't need reading glasses just to see his 1" screen. :D

I keep getting that auto zoom too. I noticed that I started getting it after installing google hang outs. Don't know if that played a part in it. I used the volume rocker but, it still is zooming in. I keep going through settings to see if there is a way to turn it off. No luck as of yet.

Go to your messaging. When you see all of your conversations, press the menu button, click settings, uncheck use the volume key.

Use the volume control rocker switch. That will increase/decrease the font size while your in the texting app.

Ive unchecked the volume box and ive tried using the volume rocker. Neither option works for me. Im on a game and when I chat with someone it auto zooms in and doesnt correct itself after I leave chat. Is there a way to completely get rid of this function off my phone?

Thank you for letting me know about the volume key, I was forever zooming the fonts in text messages and could not shrink them.!!!
