Text message limit.

Hi all. Just got a s7 after years of iPhone 5 & am loving the phone so much more stuff you can do & still finding out about it. My only problem is text messages if I do a long 1 gets converted to a mms then I've been getting charged for sending them. I know don't send smiling faces but didn't know there was a, limit on text. Is there anyway of increasing the limit on the phone?

Hi, most stock messaging apps (ones that are pre-installed on the phone) won't let you change the limit. I know that you can't change it on the S7 from what I can see in the settings menu. You might want to consider downloading a 3rd party messaging app that will allow you to turn the restriction off. I use Whatsapp most of the time, but that uses data as apposed to sms

This isn't a limitation of the phone but of the protocol used for text messages. Most phones have a way to essentially break the messages up into smaller chunks and send the message that way.
