text message not ringing

Droid Inc on Froyo will not play any sounds when receiving messages, only vibrates. Any ideas?

battery pull? i know you previous BB owners don't really wanna hear that but it can solve certain problems like that. also have you downloaded anything recently that deals with the "phone" in the permissions?

Is your phone on vibrate? Have you checked your sound volume for notifications?
