Text message / Picture Question

If someone sends me a picture though text message, is there a way to where I can save that picture to my phone, or not just make it that persons calling picture?? I'm really stumped on this one.

On the GS II you just had to hold your finger on the picture for a few seconds in the messaging app and it would give you the option to save it to the downloads folder. I dont have a GS III yet so I don't know if thats the same.
