Isn't that the delivery reports in the settings of the stock messenger app?

No, all my other droids used to tell me, this one just says sent and you never know if it was read.

Stock SMS App > Settings > Delivery Reports
That is as good as you'll get and you will only receive read receipts from another Verizon phone as this feature is not supported by ATT towers.

I was wondering the same thing too. I have verizon and it just says sent. I can't find an app that with give you a delivery receipt. I used to get notified with all my verizon user friends and now it's the just sent message. I would really like to know if there is an app out there that will give us a delivery read receipt.

The delivery/read receipts are all controlled by the network as mentioned above.

Also, I believe since the 4.1.2 update, this feature doesn't work. Something changed since the sms messages are now being sent via 4G. There are posts regarding a work around.
