I usually have DO NOT DISTURB turned on at night while I am sleeping. I was under the impression that it would prevent all alarms and sounds except for phone ringing. Last night I was receiving texts alerts even tho DND was turned on. Is this normal? Thanks

Hey CChamp!

Your settings may vary slightly from mine, but in your DND settings (nested under Sounds settings), there is an option to allow SMS messages from certain people. Your phone might be set up to allow certain ones. You should have the option to allow messages from everyone, from only your contacts, from just your favorited or starred contacts, or from no one. I'd check that setting and adjust to your liking.

Hope this helps, my friend. Cheers

You also might want to check the settings in your messenger app. I have message+ through Verizon and if you look under the customize contacts setting it has a toggle for ignoring the DND settings. That may be the case in other message apps too.

Hey Mr MnmlEngr, you hit it right on the money. On the S10 if you swipe down then find the DND button, long press it and a menu will dropdown. It is right in there like you said. Thanks a bunch, I will now sleep easier.
