Text messaging app is too light in background

[Android Central Question]

My LG G6 phone did updates this morning and my texting app is now a white background and its driving me crazy. Can i roll it back any way??

Set the texting app for dark background. (You don't want to download a whole security update for one app.)

You might also want to try out some 3rd party apps. I like textra - it has good color control and gets regular updates; one downside for me is it doesn't properly send the 'sender' to my car bluetooth, while the stock messaging app does.
