Text messaging font size

My font size keeps getting big for texting even when I set the size to small or set the size to phone settings.

Suggestions?

I know that the stock messaging app has pinch zoom capabilities.... You may be accidentally pinching and zooming and not even aware of it...
I hope that's the problem and not a glitch...

One of the reasons I long-ago abandoned stock (Verizon or other) SMS in favor of Chomp. Never had a customization problem via Chomp.

There is an option where you can control the size font via the volume keys. Maybe you are doing that ?

Doesn't work on the note7. Atleast not verizon.

I'm glad I read this, I missed the volume key size change and thought it was removed. Glad to know Samsung just improved it, by making it pinch to zoom!

Hi! As other users have suggested, punching the screen to zoom in and out may help.

If you're looking for a good third party messaging app experience, you could also try Textra. Very well done app, and the developers are always quick to address problems and/or concerns.

What about the other apps? One day is Yahoo fantasy football, and another it's chrome browser. I have everything set to small
