Does anyone use Textra as there messaging app on there phone? I have Textra and I am having trouble using it with my watch? When I get a text on the watch and go to reply it won't go thru unless I unlock my phone. Anyone else having this problem with Textra or any other messaging app?

For it to work properly, you need a SMS app with a dedicated Tizen watch SMS app. Eg Samsung Messages, Pulse.
I changed from Textra to Samsung for this reason. Its worth it (but wish Textra did a watch app).

Your right about that. I actually don't mind that I can't view text messages like Samsung messages or pulse so I just want to use Textra simply for just receiving and replying messages.

For instance I use pulse currently and use it for receiving and replying due to the fact for some reason the pulse app on the phone never works... Always just does there loading and never coming up. That's why I just want to use it for receiving and to reply, and that's why I want to use Textra but for some reason it won't reply

Ah, ok, I see what you mean. I don't know why that wouldn't work as that's effectively how What's App works and receiving and replying from the watch is fine.

Yeah I'm pissed because I love using Textra, especially that the pulse app doesn't work on the watch

Textra is awesome. I had used it for years. But to be honest, with the trade off of having fully functional SMS on the watch, I don't really miss it now I'm on Samsung Messages.

The Pulse App works fine. The phone app is free but you have to pay, sign up and get a name and password for the app to work on the watch. I use it every day (Bluetooth) everyday. The name and password also allows you to install it in a pc. I am on latest firmware. Not sure if the update is needed for it.

True. You have to get into the habit of clicking 'Mark as Read' on notifications where as a simple swipe will suffice in Textra.
You can also mark all as read if you've forgotten to do so.
But it's extra stuff to have to do.
I'm in the habit of doing it now, though.

Weird. I get that for a few seconds then it loads. Not sure what to suggest but maybe Uninstall, reboot the watch then try installing it again. I wonder if you are running out of memory. Before starting it make sure you close all apps in tbe menu. Beyond that I have no suggestions why it works for me and not for you. I do not have many apps on my watch.

No, I meant from the phone app....
As far as I can tell, if you open a notification on the watch, it will be marked as read. If you open the full S Messages app on the phone, it will be marked as read. If you have a notification on your shade on the phone, it will not be marked as read unless you do one of the above, or mark it as read from the phone notification button.
I've only had lingering badges (I think) if I've swiped away the notification on the phone, rather than done the above.

Effectively, badges will remain for any texts you haven't opened (or pressed the marked as read button) even though you have received them and have 'seen' the texts via notification, but without opening either the app or pressing the notification on the watch (or dismissing it).

Yeah it's weird I notice that it doesn't do it really as much when it's in Bluetooth, but when I take it off Bluetooth and go 4g that's when it happens the most

You might want to check you ram and storage space in the Galaxy App. If either run low it might cause this.

Yes agreed, I do the same thing but for some reason.... And not all the time, when I reply to a message it doesn't go until I go to my phone and unlock it. Very very weird and like I said only a couple of times it does this, but when it does it I have no idea that the message didn't go thru until I go to my phone and unlock it then it goes thru. It's so weird that it's hard to explain....I went back to using Textra and for 2 days now it only happened once so I'm hoping whatever glich it has will start to work it's way out
