text not sending when on wifi

My daughter is having issues with her s6. She can't get text messages to send if she if on wifi. Anybody have suggestions on how to fix that??

Turn off wifi, send the text, turn wifi back on. Text is 2G (plain old telephone), not wifi.

your daughter is probably trying to send multimedia messages not texts. multimedia messages only work over data connection not wifi.

Yall have got to be kidding. She is the only one out of 5 phones on our wifi having the issue. All of our other phones send text and msm while on wifi with no problems or issues.

Sounds like she trouble shot her own problem. Defective phone. Get a replacement.

Not a defective phone. It doesn't happen all of the time. Just more often than it should.
