Text pictures sending repeatedly

Hello, I'm new to the forums and hope some of the knowledgeable people here can help me.

When I send a picture or video clip through the stock messaging app it will send it to the person again hours or even days later by itself. This does this with almost every picture I send. I have tried clearing my cache on "messages" running device manager, restarting the phone. This has been going on for at least a couple of weeks now.

Has anyone else had this problem or know what I can do to stop this?

Welcome to Android Central! I've seen this before, and suspect it's an issue with the carrier. I've certainly received multiple duplicate messages from other people, which I suspect might be an iPhone-to-Android issue. Are the people that are receiving duplicate messages using iPhones?

Also, do you see the sent message duplicated on your side, or is it just that the other person is complaining to you that they're getting duplicates?

Hi B.Diddy. Thanks for the reply.

The people do have iPhones who receive the duplicate pictures. They don't get duplicate word messages, only pictures and video clips. I also see that they have been sent again.

I'm starting to feel awful that they are getting them at all hours of the night/morning ( 3am etc)
