Text w/ photos weirdness....

I've notice that when and I send or received a text w/ a photo attached, it comes up as a video after it's sent or received. In other words, when I receive a text w/ a photo and I press on the photo to enlarge, I get a video control bar at the bottom of the photo. It automatically plays for usally 5 or 10 seconds. No video, just the photo w/ the player at the bottom. The photo still remains after it's played but I just thought this is not right. I'm still able to download the photo to my SD card.

Anyway, not really and problem but just doesn't seem normal. Or, maybe it is?

Any thoughts on how to disable this? I can't seem to find a setting for it.

It's a bug. It's the "slideshow" interface for multiple photos but it pops up even if there's just 1 photo.

I've noticed it only does this when there is text sent with the picture.

Yeah, this sucks. You just have to basically send pic messages without text to avoid the slideshow layout. I think I remember seeing an update to the international S3 or something like that that had this "fixed" in the release notes. Hopefully this will be fixed in the US Verizon versions soon too.
