Text while talking?

I just got my Note 2 about a month ago and I'm loving it so far except for one thing that's kinda bugging me. I've noticed when I'm in a call if I try to send a picture to the person I'm talking to, the little spinning circle next to the messege keeps going and won't actually finish sending until I hang up. I find this a little annoying because as far as I remember my HTC inspire and iphone 3gs were able to send pictures while on an active call, so its a little suprising that a note 2 cant. Anyone else have this problem?

yup, i'm old school... you can send texts along the same path as cell voice. what app are you using?

Currently GoSMS Pro, but it also works from the stock JB SMS app.

Im using the stock sms app on the note and I am in an lte area. Im gonna give go sms a try and see if I have more success with that

So, I tried go SMS and that does the job, kinda strange that the stock app won't do it but I guess I'll using go more.

I tried the same thing as the OP and had the same problem. Called my wife and while on the phone I tried to send her a picture using the native SMS/MMS app. The picture did not go through while we were on the phone.

It could be a simple matter of what network you're on. I know when I had T-Mobile service I was able to do everything while on the phone. Whereas when I moved to Sprint it was the opposite. I could be wrong but I guess its the difference of CDMA and GSM networks? I dunno!

I have the same issue as well. And the same issue with web browsing. This really makes me miss my iphone. Im on the same at&t network.

Might want to take a look at this thread on XDA pertaining to AT&T possibly throttling data while you're on a call. It could be that or technology limitations where LTE and voice is concerned.

Edit... Also, the title of the post says text while talking, but the OP is asking about sending pictures/ MMS which is something different altogether basically.
