I have Android Auto in my new 2018 Hyundai Elantra and overall, I love it. However, I'm having two annoying issues and I'm curious if anyone else is or if there are fixes. I looked through this forum and some others, but I haven't had any luck.
First - text messages. The behavior here is really odd. I'll get a drop down notification on the screen of a new message, but I have to reach out and touch the screen to get it to play. There's no voice prompt asking if I want to hear it. Then, after it has played, I'll get a prompt asking if I want to reply. However, before I can even answer, it will then say something about the internet signal not being stable enough right now. Which makes no sense as I can stream music and waze data with no trouble.
Second - Waze. I guess officially this is still in beta, but Waze has been my prefered nav app for my typical commute. If I open waze and pull up the menu to choose a destination, if my choice is an appointment that has the address of where I'm going in it, it will pull up the map and then give me a "no route found" error. I can do a voice search for the location and then it will route me just fine. I don't get why it's giving me an error when trying to pull it from a calendar entry.
Is anyone else seeing these issues?
