Texting small video from SD Card

I experienced a weird thing last evening. I was texting a small 980mB video of my new dogs to my Mom, and two other family members. The actual reading text would send but the video would automatically read "failed" underneath the video. I kept looking for an option to "resend" or try again, but there was no such choice. Could it be that the S7 Edge will not pull video from the SD to send VIA text? If so, is that the norm? I tried sending the video without any text words, in case that was throwing a kink i the process, but nothing works...I keep thinking back to my S5 and LG G4 and never remember having an issue pulling video from the SD card to send within a text message.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and /or anyone have any suggestions or settings that came from the factory that needs to be changed?

Try sending a small video (<1mb) to see if it will go through.

A 980MB video is well beyond most carrier's MMS size limit (after all, that's nearly a gig). For example, VZW caps MMS messages at 5MB. At 980MB, your video is also too large for most email services with attachment size limits (typically 25-50MB). Your best bet is to host the video online (ie, YouTube, Vimeo, etc..) and then text the link to the video.

Oh ok. I really appreciate each of your advice and suggestions. I modified the video clip to a smaller size and it processed and sent with no issue. Thank you all so much.

That's a good suggestion
