Sprint Galaxy S8 Texting without going to the contats list (S8 and S8+)

Has anyone found a way to bypass the contact list when texting? I know this is an older issue, but after MONTHS of using it this way, I still HATE this *new* feature.

Agree its annoying. If you use Samsung Messages you're stuck with that.
Maybe try a 3rd party app?

I use android messages, works fine for me

The stock Android messages app, Textra, Yaata, all allow you to just open a new message and start typing a name -- unlike the Sammy app.
