Textra App & GIF's

Hi ya'll! Just wondering if anyone can help me figure out where did my GIF's go? I downloaded the new 2.1 and now it won't let me use GIF's... any idea? It wants me to download a gif's app but I'm not sure which is the best or which did textra come with originally?

That's weird and I have no answer. I already had giphy installed so I uninstalled it and restarted the phone. My gifs were still available in Textra w/o the app. Did you restart the phone and or do a cache wipe after the update ? Maybe that might help?

My Note 10+ led me to the same when I opened the keyboard in Textra and clicked on the GIF icon. The "Keyboard Content Center" the link takes you to is a Samsung app and it was installed on my S20 Ultra by default.

I cleared the cache and did a restart but nothing. Also when I click "go to galaxy store" it wants me to download the keyboard content center which has nothing to do with gif's

Try clearing data,cache,force stop keyboard

Go to settings >apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>show system apps tap>scroll all the way down to Samsung keyboard

Alright so I went and cleared data and cache for textra and Samsung keyboard, but still nothing with the gif's. Its still saying go to galaxy store... and even when I did download a gif's app, it won't let me assign it to the Samsung keyboard

OK. So I didn't realize you were using the Samsung keyboard. I use gboard. You have to download that keyboard content center app.then once you click the gif symbol on the keyboard. it will ask you what you want to use for gifs. I put a picture.

Interesting. I'm running into the same problem with Bitmoji. For your GIFs, have you gone into the app itself to see if you need to fix any permission settings?

No . You use the Samsung one. You just have to download the app.

It comes up after you click the gif symbol on the Samsung keyboard. Once you download the app and click the gif symbol again that menu comes up.

I remember seeing the app in the Galaxy store after I updated to UI 2.1. I had no idea what it was so I left it alone. I don't use the Samsung keyboard so I never would have guessed that's the purpose of it. Glad I could help.
