Textra Heads Up Notifications

Samsung Note 10+ with August sec update. I have Heads Up turned off in notifications settings, but getting them in addition to the icon notification I selected. I’ve done everything I can think of. Cleared internal and external caches, turned Heads Up on and off multiple times trying to force it to stop popping up. I have another method selected, which is why it is off, and still I get it. Nothing works to make it go away. How do I make it stop? Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you tried pressing and holding on the icon and selecting app info and then down to notifications and turn off there. This has worked for me with other apps. Good luck!

Oh thank you for asking that! I hate it too - AND, when I click on the pop up, it launches the keyboard and I can't read it until I maximize it. Trying egood71's method - hopefully that will take care of it.

if you mean the Heads Up popup icon, then yes. that does nothing. do you mean the app icon? that does nothing as well. thanks for your help. nothing working yet.

Agreed, change to sound only and it reverts back to pop up and sound.....

I sent off screen captures of the issue on the home screen and of settings in app, all of them. waiting to hear back. I've since tried multiple things all to no avail. very unhappy with the app right now.

I'll be posting here. I also sent them this thread so if any other folks are having this issue and post here they will see their issues as well.

you don't have an unlocked model do you? mine's unlocked on sprint.

No, mine is not unlocked. I purchased mine through Verizon.

this is the first time I've ever had real issues with Textra beyond the occasional duplicate incoming messages.

Okay. Got an answer. Try this. Go here and turn off Textra. This setting is only for Samsung multi window apps and Textra doesn't support that.

I am a problem solver, troubleshooter by trade. at least they were willing to get involved instead of blowing me off. tried to find it on my own, but had no idea about this setting. the funny thing is, of all my apps that might be multi-window, this one isn't and it was the only one turned on...?!

Same
