Textra Notifications Problem

I've been using Textra for several years. Four days ago I changed my phone (Moto G4-Android 7 to Moto G31-Android 11)
I installed Textra and turned on repeat notifications. As always, Textra informs me in its settings page that the repeat delay will be two minutes BUT it's actually giving me delays of about nine minutes between notifications. Now, I'm aware that many Textra users would give an arm and a leg to have that sort of interval and, if there was an option to do so. I would choose a much longer interval than the fixed two minutes. My concern is simply that my Textra is not behaving as it's supposed to and that might be a sign of some deeper malaise. Any thoughts?

I don't use Textra but maybe try resetting it by clearing its data then force stop or contacting the Dev of that app

Have you tried disabling your other messaging app?

Does your phone have adaptive battery and or adaptive notifications? If so try turning both of them off

Does Textra maybe need an upgrade? They usually let you know, but maybe you never got a text on it?
