Textra sound notifications not working

Recently, my phone doesn't make an audible sound when I get notifications from Textra. I get all other notification sounds, but not with Textra, it only vibrates. I tried making the Messaing app my default and when I do that, the sound notification works. I don't understand what is going on. I tried hard resetting and uninstalling/re-installing the Gear app on my phone, but it's not working.
