Texts deleted from phone

We have a 2024 Chevy Blazer with the Android automotive OS. I'll receive texts, they will display on the screen quickly, then disappear (which is fine). BUT, then the text is no longer available to read on the phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra). This happens intermittently, but very often. Doesn't matter if it's a group text or a single, or who it's from. It's just never to be seen again. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like an odd and frustrating bug. Check the Archived section of the Google Messages app -- can you find the messages there?

That is a very odd behavior, which message app your using Google or Samsung?

Also you have Android Auto on when this happens?
What Android version does the radio have and Model of the radio?

The messages are no where to be found, not archived. But interestingly, they ARE still on my Galaxy watch, I just don't use that for texts very often. Not using Android Auto, but that OS Android Automotive that's native to the factory radio in the 2024 Blazer. I'm using the Google Messages app. And that gives me something to try, I'll try switching to Samsung messages and see if that makes a difference.
