Texts for two factor authentication dont come to my Pixel3XL

[Android Central Question]

When I go to register for a new website, or reset a password for an existing site (credit card, financial, etc), typically the site sends a verification code to my phone. Since getting my Pixel3XL, I haven't received any of these. I receive texts from friends, and other messages, but it's a 100% failure rate on verification codes. I'm on TMobile. I've tried changing all kinds of settings in the phone (spam filters, etc).

Welcome to Android Central! Check with T-Mobile to make sure Premium SMS (i.e., the 5 or 6 digit phone numbers that you can send short codes to) is not blocked.
