Texts in Google photo app aren’t displayed properly…

Hello,

I just got a Pixel 8 pro yesterday. When I open Google photo app, texts, such as Photos, Memories, Library, Search aren’t displayed properly. They are cut off on the tops by the icons. And when I go in to Library sub, “Camera” and “Screenshots” are cut off at the bottoms… I did try to clear cache and restart the phone, but the issue still exists.

Is there anyone here experienced the same issue? Any advice and solution would be appreciated.

It looks like you might have a larger font size. I was able to add that as a drop down tile, so I can easily change it when I need it for certain sites. I hope these pictures help explain it better than I'm doing.

If that's not the cause, then check your Accessibility menu to see if you've adjusted anything regarding magnification there.

Yes, I did. After I cleared cache, I did Force stop the app and reopened it as mustang7757 mentioned. The issue was still there.

Have you ever adjusted the DPI of the display in the Developer Options?

When I did Reset settings in “Dispplay size and text“, the issue was gone. However, the font size is so small for my eyes. I have the same setting for font size on other phones, but Google photo app works fine on them.

No, I haven’t touched the Developer Options.

Try long press the photos app then tap info>upper right corner tap and uninstall the update see if it's ok with previous version?

It's not clear to me if you actually checked the Font Size option. Can you confirm that you did?

Also, go to Settings>Display>Display Size and Text, and show us a screenshot of what you see.

Here are the screenshots of my Font Size setting (I tried to set Large) and the texts displayed in Google photo app (with Large Font Size) on a One+ phone, (One+ phone is still on Android 13)

I tested that font size on my Pixel 7 Pro, and I get the same result -- the text is slightly cut off in the Photos app. Send feedback to Google about this, both from the Tips and Support menu in the system settings, and also the Google Photos app settings.
