Texts not sending after AT&T June update

Anyone else having problems with texts messages not going through the first time and have to resend since the June update?

No, I think it's the AT&T Messages app

Have you try force stop see if it gets it going , if not clear data and force stop.

Happens for me with both Google Messenger and Pulse.

No. AT&T lets the OEMs use whatever they use. Samsung has their own stock Messages app. Most others pretty much all use Google Messages now.

I think Verizon does (or used to) have their own SMS/MMS app they want their customers to use.

There's an att messages app in the play store. I just looked it up. Lol

All I see is their business messenger app (sort of what Teams and Zoom now does within a corporate setting) and their Real-Time Text app which is only for customers with disabilities (replacing TTY).

Neither is meant to be used as a regular messaging app.

What you don't see is that that app is for... "tablets"

I wasn't seeing that at all for my phone.

Then I read what it was for, so I looked up the same search on my tablet and there it is.

Are you seeing that app listing on a phone?

That should come as pre-installed bloat on Att Carrier version , the Samsung message app should be default .

Weird. It must vary by phone. None of my AT&T branded Samsung phones ever had that app, including my current S20 FE. Even if I type the app name out fully in the Play Store search, it simply won't show it. I even tried on an old AT&T branded S8 with an active SIM - nothing. But, yes, the Samsung Messages app was always the default. I just choose to go with Textra.

By the way, the tablet I used to find that "AT&T Messages for Tablets" was on my Amazon Fire HD8 - not even an AT&T device.

Strange how some get this and some don't , I remember this when on carrier version Att firmware , now I've been unlock for some time
