Ok, silly Title, but it got you looking....

I've notice when I put a Case on my Nexus One the touch screen becomes much less responsive. Some times I have to press harder (which brings more surface area into contact by compressing your finger), -OR- I have to press longer.

I can solve this if i use another finger to touch a region on the N1 shell that peeks out from the case.

After using the case for a while I was amazed how much more responsive the N1 was to touchscreen input when I took it off.

I wonder if the touchscreen technology requires a conductive return path (ground run) on this phone.

My case is an Otter box, and of course they disavow any knowledge of this.

Absolutely, check out the grounding issues with the incredible in the forums. The screen won't even register a single touch at all when sitting on a table. But just place your finger on the side of the device, and now suddenly it registers touch. Nexus doesn't suffer from this particular issue. But still...

That said, I use a full body rubber case on my nexus and the screen is just as sensitive as ever.

I have a nice rubber type case for my Nexus One but the only problem is using the desk top dock you have to remove the case ect. ect. I would die if I dropped my phone.
Vinny :)
