For 2 days I've been hearing this high pitched whistling noise. I thought it was a smoke detector battery going bad. It's been getting worse and worse. So I rip it off the ceiling (I know you've done that before). The noise is still there. It's a little hard to tell where it's coming from, so I start sticking my ear up against every piece of electronic equipment in the room. As my ear is gently pressed against a clock radio I see a power supply staring me in the face from across the room. THIS:

And guess what? My screen is now whacked when I try to use the phone with it plugged in.

My condolences. That kinda looks like a bit mark on your adapter though

or a bubble

first time I've heard of wrapping your tool leading to performance issues.

Is it just when the phones on the charger?

So it sounds like it could be bad power supply base blocks that are causing people to experience an irregular screen interface when the phone is charging?

My adapter screems like crazy, it is audible half way across the room, it is so annoying I kept the htc one from and gave the samsung away when I sold my evo a few days ago.
I think it has to do with it being a Li-ion battery because I have a dewalt drill in the garage that is a lithium also and the charger is shrill sounding on it too. My wife cant hear it unless she puts her head to it but for me it is like my ears are ringing constantly. The first day I got the ET I plugged it in for like 5 minutes, that was all I could stand.
