the cord matters

I picked up a couple of ebay specials to adapt my micro usb cords to C. While they seemed to work fine, I picked up an actual A / C cord so I could ditch the little adapter. After plugging it in, I was surprised to see 'rapidly charging'. When I use the old micro cord, I only get 'charging'.

Yep - the adapter is the likely weakest link. Even with a USB-C to USB-A cord, you need a decent one to get anything over 2A (and a powerful charger).

Yes, I get the charging rapidly with the OnePlus A to C cord using a Fastmac USB socket.
