The Evolution of Cell Phone Information
A rumor of a new cell phone breaks out.
It is immediately posted to forums.
Curious cell phone geeks begin to speculate on what wonders the new device will have. 99% of the speculations take current phones and add capability ad infinitum.
Others read the speculations and begin to post them as gospel.
Leaks from os and hardware developers begin to appear. These leaks are never as good as the now accepted as gospel speculations. Appalled readers begin to talk about the hardware and/or service providers breaking the sacred covenant between them and the users.
Other potential buyers talk about individual specs that the new phone did not have and are deal breakers. Others are only interested, and really, really, actually post that all they care about is the envy their buds express when seeing their new phone.
And still the world waits ?
