Its an interesting development but I think its a while off until the page refresh rate and the color intensity are ready for prime time

If you saw the video you'd see that refresh is improving rapidly, I mean that was pretty smooth don't you agree? As for color intensity, we might not be there today but what I'm saying is that the technology is improving at an incredibly high rate. I wasn't asking if you thought it would be here tomorrow but rather when it does come (which it will) would you be interested?

I could see getting a device with a Pixel Qi display. You could turn of the backlight for outdoors and bright light situations, then have the ability to turn on the backlight for other lighting conditions.

A Mirasol display would also be an option, but since eInk and Mirasol rely on external light only, something like the Pixel Qi display might work better.
