Im in the same boat as you. While both phones are awesome, the edge gives it just a bit more attitude and personality which I like

The headline is a little misleading -- it should really be, "The Galaxy S6 Edge Is Totally Beautiful—And Pointless. And That's a Good Thing". Listen, the fact that someone is calling anything made by Samsung "totally beautiful" is progress. However, the article is off the mark -- just because the edges have no real functionality (which I completely agree with) doesn't mean it has no point. The point is this: it's beautiful. It's unique. It makes the Edge desirable.

I would have gotten the edge if the green was coming to T-Mobile on launch but .. it isn't .. so I am leaning towards the regular S6.

Read the article, I've always like David's writing with the Verge and he doesn't disappoint here. I disagree with him though about the s6 edge. I think it is more refined and has a clearer purpose on the s6 edge than it did on the note edge. On the note edge, it was more of a catch all, do it all that was always present.

On the s6, the edge is there if you want, and out of the way if you don't. While it does less, it seems to do those things more elegantly. I do wish there were more edge panels like on the note edge, and that there was an option to have it on all the time if the user wanted.

I personally don't choose my phone simply for the utilitarian value that I think it has. If that were the case every phone would be an ugly rectangle with a screen and a few buttons. Even if there were no edge features at all, I'd still fork out the extra 100 bucks for the Edge. It looks gorgeous and gives the phone the "wow" effect. Money well spent in my opinion.
