So I'm noticing quite a bit of battery drain as of late on both AOKP and Skank CM10 ROMs. Even with CPU settings set to normal with the right Kernels (I use Franco or Lean), I'm noticing some significant battery drain even with the screen shut off. Deep Sleep is working fine as well.

I think a lot of this has to do with the latest update to Google Search and the additions in Google Now. Google Now seems to be the culprit for the constant wake locks. Does anyone else notice this? Or is there something I'm missing with all these constant wake locks and battery drains.

Thanks.

I never had any issues with that. There was an increase and wake locks on Jelly Bean but nothing that I would say is out of the normal amount since Jelly Bean has a lot more google integration.

Is it possible there is another app running and what are you sync timings?

I'll have to post results later as I am charging my battery and the values got reset. But I also disabled Google Now for now just to test out the theory.

I do have some apps that run in the background.. FB, Twitter, Exchange, etc etc etc. But that's normal for me. I have usually mustered up about 12-16 hours of battery life with nominal usage. But since the Google Search update, that number dwindled down to 8-9 hours. Which leads me to believe that it is Google Now.

EDIT: I might use JD for a while to boost I supposed. Didn't want to use that app, but might have to if I want to use Google Now.

Yea that doesn't seem right at all. Google Now will take a slight toll on battery life but it shouldn't take much of a huge hit. I would be interested to see what happens now that you disabled Google Now.

I am at 9hr and 37m with 26% left on the 2100 mah battery.I have 20m and 30 sec of screen on time. This is all I ever get. I get a lot of push e-mail from work but the battery life seems to be less on JB(AOKP or CNA)

I have betterbatterystats but I am not exactly sure how to read it ;(

Personally, I use to use apps like BetterBatteryStats but all I use now is GSMBattery and CPU Spy. BetterBatteryStats made me paranoid about my battery life which most of the time didn't make a huge impact on the final result.

I am getting the same issues on Jellybro. Just noticed it the last few days. Deep sleep is working fine but lots of wake locks while the screen is off:

Yeah I am having the same problem on Skank Jellybro build from earlier this week. Maps is giving me dozens of wakelocks/hour and slaying my battery life (went down from 80% to 20% last night while unplugged, usually only goes down by 10-15%). FB did a ton of wakelocks as well, that stopped after I used the GPS Test app to lock onto GPS, but Maps is still wakelocking like crazy.

Yea, I ended up restoring a back up from 8/17 build and battery was much better. I did just download today's build (8/31) so hoping it will be fixed otherwise, back to the 8/17.

How can you tell if it's Google now? I ran gsam battery monitor and Imsframework was waking the device. Anyone know what That is?is it normal?

Hey Guys - So I figured out what was causing all the wake locks for me. It was google Maps.

Go to : Maps > Settings > Location Settings > Report from this device > uncheck

This was checked and thats why the phone kept waking. Once I unchecked this, all was well again in the Jellybro Universe.

My battery Drained in 10 hours with 30 min screen time, and Google search had 5 hour of wakelock with 334 wakes. :(
