The iPhone 16 is an iterative update overall, but it comes with a new Camera Control button that unlocks a suite of new use cases. It is my favorite feature on the new phone, and I want Android brands to "borrow" it.

this isn't the great earth shattering feature y'all think it is.

Samsung has had software solutions in their camera app for more than a decade: there are settings in Camera to set the power button double click to immediately start camera even when idle (screen off); and there is a setting to use volume buttons as shutter release so you don't have to tap the screeen; also there is Voice Command shutter release so you can use words like smile & capture to take the pic without moving the phone - great for folks with shaky hands.

I would have liked to reprogram the Bing button on my Samsung to be a camera button, but Sammy doesn't let us redo that button. But I still have the other settings active and have enjoyed it for years uncounted.
