I had a sprint phone with my VZW as well, and the coverage couldn't compare. I had to drop it, and now I have two VZW phones. I started with AT&T, when it was Bell South PCS, and then Cingular. The coverage was worse than Sprint, and they haven't added to their towers. VZW for where I travel, (basically everywhere in the continental US) is my best option, and since I spend a ton of my day/time on the phone. VZW is it for me. I've had a cell phone since they were too big to fit in my pocket.
I dislike two major things about VZW, price and locking out features in phones. I don't buy a Corvette to get half the power, this is the USA. It really ticks me off to practice that shizz. BUT, I've made the decision to deal with it for the sake of coverage, and an impractical device that I enjoy.
