the new keyboard is terrible?

Anyone else having issues with the new keyboard in ICS? The old, black themed keyboard was amazing. I typed like a maniac on that thing and had barely any mistakes... this new one I am having all sorts of mistakes. Any way to get that old keyboard theme / version back?

If not, what is a good keyboard? I tried swiftkey and that seemed ok, but don't think you can turn off the heavy auto correct on it?

You don't like Swype that also comes stock? It's pretty easy to get the hang of, and you can churn out text fairly quickly with it.

Yea I can't seem to type very well on the stock one either. Possibly because I use ICS keyboard by binary bulge on my phones. Just got so use to it I suppose. I like predictive text on it also. Give it a try.

Definitely try it. Seems weird at first, but you get used to it quickly, and it's remarkably accurate.

I never could get used to scraping my finger all over the kb for swype. Just me I guess, but perfect keyboard trips my trigger just right. Very customizable. In any case there are loads of choices. Something for everyone.

I have fat thumbs so Swype comes in handy (using it to type this massage.) I actually like the new keyboard better than GB. GB, it seemed like there was no space in between the keys, but now there is and i am making less mistakes in this new keyboard. Just my 2 cents.

Been trying tons of different keyboards all night and I *think* its down to perfect keyboard or AI keyboard. Just wish they didn't mess up something that was good with the old stock one

Yeah, the portrait mode keyboard is easier to use now that the keys are further spaced apart but they made the landscape mode keyboard slightly shorter so they keys appear smaller; its still manageable though.

It's almost a clone of the stock ics keyboard but with less screen real estate then the Gnex it just looks clunky. If you like predictive text then try swiftkey, that or Swype as mentioned above.
