The nougat update broke my S7 edge

I realised I had a software download earlier today so I did it. After finishing it I realised I had low battery so I let it completely finish and I put it on charge. I used the exact cable and plug I have used since day 1, the adaptive fast charging plug which came with the phone and cable. When I plugged in my phone it kept on disconnecting and connecting to the charger? I then got a separate plug and tried that and the charge fully worked? I'm not sure what's happened but it seems like my adaptive charger broke from the update. If anyone knows anything please help. Thanks you. Ps I recorded my screen for proof but I don't know how to add it.
