Pixel "maybe" has a slightly better camera experience over OnePlus... However, in every other category you can possibly think of OnePlus blows Pixel out of the water! I have had both brands and if Pixel can somehow catch up to other companies in the hardware department THEN they will be a formidable opponent. They charge flagship prices but their phones are - to me - lower mid rangers at best! Now if they charged mid-range prices they would be more competitive for sure but their hardware - internally - sucks!

I bought a OnePlus 6 in 2019 and loved it. The hardware, including the camera, was stellar - even back then. The Oxygen OS wasn't bad in 2019, either.

That being said, even with all of Google's faults, I also love my Pixel 8 Pro and find that the hardware still satisfies most, if not all, of the things I need a phone to do.
