The P20 Pro on T-Mobile in the US.

i have the p20 on tmo in california, but i need to travel to eu a lot. in the past my sony phone worked in uk (even though it was not listed by tmobile) but my nextbit robin did not. has anyone tried taking this overseas? i know it SHOULD work, but when i've spoken to them about it they just say "no promises go find out" since the phone isnt one of theirs.

Which network are you using it on in the UK? Several UK carriers carry the P20 series so if you're using it on one of the networks it shouldn't be a problem, find out the bands of the network and the bands of your phone to make sure.

Re: The P20 Pro on T-Mobile in the US....

My Moto Droid ver 1(close to 4yrs old) just plain died so I had to get a new phone. The wife's LG 20 was also in bad shape...she is pretty rough on phones. My son's Pixel was ok. I had a family plan on Verizon but was limited to sharing 10g of data. With a son in college and a wife who whips out her phone to google stuff all the time it was time for a change plus I wanted to be have a wider range of phones to choose from. Switched to TMobile with unlimited everything for $90/month" and also got the "free" Netflix (well, they pay for the basic account and I already have the premium so my Netflix bill has gone from $14/mo to $4/month....yeah!) I live in the Savannah area and have no complaints with the coverage. I originally wanted to wait for the pixel 3 and the Mate 20 to come out but with a phone that was dead I needed to buy now. Bought Mate 10's for wife and son and a P20 Pro for me all from Amazon. The Mate's are unlocked and have a US warranty and the price was around $550. The P20 was about $780 and doesn't have a US warranty although the brick is US plugs. All the phones work great on TM. I've gotten a few updates on the phone and am currently running 8.1 on Android and also on EMUI. Both phones are absolute beasts on battery life. I can get 2 days on the P20 Pro and my wife says that she gets 3 days on the Mate 10. My only complaint is that searching settings for what you want is not intuitive. Everything is a major GO. Okay, just one gripe. I wish it had wireless charging but gotta admit the supercharging is really fast. As Flossy Carter says on YT, "it's a s***, shower and shave phone".

I have my P20 Pro on Google Fi (MVNO, roams on Tmobile) and it works great in the Dallas area.

How did you get it on Google fi? Thought it wasn't certified or able to be used on fi? Did you activate the fi sim card using a Google phone?

I am running this device on at&t coming from the iPhone x. I bought two of these phones when we are on holiday in Italy a couple weeks ago. My Vodafone p20p has issues but I am working through that, not related to carrier, but our TIM variant has been working flawlessly.

Still can't get visual voicemail to work but I think that's a at&t certification issue and am trying to setup wifi calling
