The Pixel Buds won't ship until January. Any other suggestions?

And don't suggest Beats or anything from Apple. I've had a series of horrible experiences with them.

P.S.
Does the Pixel 2 XL come with any earbuds or a 3.5mm adapter in the box?

I mean I guess I could sell you my buds? Not sure why there is a delay. Doesn't Verizon have them in stock in stores?

No to buds in the box, yes to 3.5 mm adapter in the box.

Can you charge your phone while the adapter is in?

Airpods are the ****. I think htc makes some decent usb c earbuds though. Also the Bluetooth ones jaybird makes are good.

I canceled my order, I didn't see 1 good review. Anyone have a set and can give some insight?

Same can be said for the pixel 2 XL and yet it is indeed a fantastic phone. Sometimes one should try something themselves and form thier own opinion and not make buying choices by opinions of others.

Google has a return policy, I see no reason not to try them and ignore what others say.

How's the sound? Nothing but negative reviews? How much background noise is there while you are listening?

I canceled my order of the Pixel buds and ordered these, Sennheiser HD1. They sound great!

IMO -
They fit great..
They store easily...
They pair easily...
Love the case...
Sounds great....
Last long on a charge...
Have great range..
Assistant works very well...
Gesture sensitivity is solid...

I really don't have any complaint...

As they do allow outside noise in, the volume level can be set quite loud.

If I had to point out a negative, I guess it would be that the mic does pick up noise... It's pretty sensitive. I haven't used the translate feature yet.

Have them and using it for couple of weeks, also have airpods. If I have to choose one I still prefer airpods because of fit and comfort. Apart from fit and comfort (which is personal thing anyway), I love the Pixel buds in other areas. Love how well it integrates with the assistant and also love you can control volume thru side swipe and there is none on airpods (got to use Siri if you don't want to control via phone or watch).
Other area where Pixel buds impressed me is the sound, they definitely sound great compared to airpods and many other Bluetooth earbuds.

It's just the fit and comfort which I'm little disappointed with otherwise like it a lot.

Edit: Also love the fact just double tap on the right Pixel buds and Assistant reads out the notifications. Super useful actually on so many instances.

you can come to NYC and buy from the pop up store 👍
but I have been using for a couple days. I have them, aitpod and iconX

I travel on public transportation in NYC so there is a lot of sounds. so my only drawback to these is that they let in A LOT of ambient sounds, but no more than airpod.
also I listen to podcasts 75% of the time and they work fine for me. but it I was s heavy music listener I would not get. I have my bose for that

Yeah I love that pop up shop. How long is it going to be there BTW? I was thinking about getting the Google buds but the reviews are holding me back...and I'm talking real reviews not the witch-hunting variety. I have Bose and it's awesome. I'll probably just stick with those for the meantime.

I've been happy with my Bragi The Headphones Bluetooth wireless earbuds. They're true wireless earbuds, has pretty good sound, 6 hour battery life. As for USB C headphones, I'm waiting for a Xianomi earbuds to arrive and see if they're any good.

I think I heard they will be here until the end of the year.
I think I will keep keep buds because I don't like carrying over the ear headphones all the time with the bose. Will return the iconX. Not a fan of the fit and connection.

The HD1's are fantastic. Another neckband to look at is the Klipsch R6 which you can pick up dirt cheap on Amazon - $60 with free shipping via Prime. Originally $180 and were only a little overpriced at that point, they're a steal right now.

Klipsch R6 Neckband Bluetooth Headphones

It's weird how a lot of manufacturers are using the same model numbers for different devices. I have these Klipsch R6s: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6093484

And they sound pretty good, but the HD1 sound way better.

I recently got the Fitbit flyer they sound great no issues with pairing or bt connection. my Sony's skip at times the Fitbit have not

These have been getting good reviews:

They are a bit garish in color, but I don't mind that. I found them on eBay from China for $50, as long as you don't mind waiting a while to get them.

Also if you don't mind a full set of headphones, the Bowers and Wilkins PX are truly amazing. Some of the best sound I've ever heard from headphones. I can't tell the difference from Bluetooth or directly plugged in. They use the AptX HD codec which our Pixels support. Amazing sound. Also works via direct plug into USB-C. A little pricey though, but you are getting the best, so it does cost more.
