I'm hoping the availability date (different from the release date) is early November before an overseas trip. I'm ambivalent of the Blackberry user-targeted keyboard layout, but the World Phone status will let me replace my Tour without guilt. It may cost me an early adopter upgrade on an LTE phone, but the international Wifi tethering will be worth it. I've already set up an AppBrain account with all the necessary applications installed in preparation.

The Droid X was released on July 15th, but if you didn't get one of the first batch a lot of people had to wait until late August before stock was available. If the Pro is released tomorrow but it's sold out until Thanksgiving it doesn't do me much good
