The screen of my nexus 6 goes blank while dialing. How to fix it.

i just bought my nexus 6 today and also a screen protector.

Hi, is the screen protector interfering with the proximity sensor, making it darker? Could be the problem.

Agreed. This is an ongoing and notorious problem with screen protectors.

The proximity sensor on the Nexus 6 is located a few millimeters just left of the upper speaker. Tilt the phone just so under a light source and you will see two small circles. Make sure nothing is covering them.

What do you mean when you say "while dialing"?

While you are still tapping out the phone number? If so, then it may be some other issue besides the screen protector.

If you mean the moment you finish entering the phone number and tap the button to initiate the call, then, yes, it is most likely your screen protector which is causing the phone to think you have already raised it to your ear..

While you are still tapping out the phone number?

That's the bit that threw me. That's why I thought they were talking about keeping the display "always on."
If you can't punch in a complete phone number every time you try, the phone's gotta go back.
