The simple things your Nexus 6P just can't do right? or at all?

So since owning there is a good amount of features your Nexus probably cant do or your previous handset could do. Now these things arent exactly rocket science or probably hard to implement but, im going to list a few.

-Extracting a piece of text from a text message
-Sending picture messages without sending them back to me
-Seeing all of your photo albums in a number of apps
-Cant update android hardware outside of an encryption
-Close all background apps.

What are your bugs?

Ambient display is so random its worthless. I just click the power button if I want to see notifications. I do miss Moto display.

Agreed. For me it's not only random, but often way too dim to actually read.

Ambient display is so random its worthless. I just click the power button if I want to see notifications. I do miss Moto display.

I'm not sure if it's a setting or what not, but it drives me nuts when I'm watching a video on Chrome or YouTube and an incoming text pauses it.

- The ability to close all background apps at once
- Camera stutters at times and won't launch using quick launch

These are literally the only two things that irk me about this phone. Other than that, it's perfect.

I have no clue what OP is talking about w/ pic messages being sent back. That sounds like a messaging app issue more than a phone issue. I use Messages+ from Verizon and have never seen this, ever.

Poor voice quality. People on the other end often say they can't hear me clearly when I'm just using the handset. Problem is not there with Bluetooth handsets though.

There's a free app called "Don't Pause!" that should take care of this issue for you.

Could you elaborate more on this? I don't get the first one talking about having the picture sending -- What do you mean?

Also what do you mean by "updating hardware outside of an encryption"?

It does with Nova Launcher for what it's worth. Sorry if you already knew that.

If I leave my 6P on without a reboot for more than a couple of days the available widgets to add to my home screen drop to only a few core app choices. As soon as I reboot, the other widget choices reappear... Saw this when I first lost the widget for the Timely app. Using the Google Now Launcher...

Agree with one of the other posters that this might be related to the app your are using. Try Textra. I have never had this problem.

-Close all background apps.

Other people have complained about this but, in my opinion, it doesn't matter anymore. Doesn't Marshmallow manage memory and apps very well now? You don't need to close apps in the background unless one is giving you a problem and if that's the case, just go in and give it a slide off. I think it also helps apps open more quickly. I say just leave it and let the OS do its thing.


As for bugs/complaints.... Ambient screen. Doesn't respond consistently to when you move or pick up the phone. Usually can't trigger it to come on myself. By the time I pick up the phone to try and get it to come on, I might as well just unlock the phone. It does sometimes light up when notifications come in but they are generally useless.
